Never been at deep South, have friends that come from there, but actually living in Thailand. I’ve heard good things, but many embassies have issued travel warnings in this area.

Never been at deep south areas, but I have seen some impressive photography from Hat Yai and Songkhla. I haven’t plan a trip to Thailand this year, but for sure I am going to visit this places next time.

Previously, deep south of Thailand was not recommended for tourist because the situation there is always close to civil war. I am not sure how it is nowadays.

It isn’t recommended for tourists, latest reports are pretty scary and I personally don’t think that it worth the risk.
